Nursing Home Ministry
On the second and fourth Thursday of each month, our church has a ministry that goes out to Brookdale Senior Living in Vero Beach. We hold a service for all who would like to come where we sing, preach, and visit with the residents. Bro. Steve Wilcox is the director of this ministry, and he does a fantastic job. Through this ministry, we have seen several individuals come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, and we have seen others strengthened in their faith and walk with the Lord.

Van Ministry
Our van ministry is one of the key ways we transport young people to and from church on Sunday mornings. Around 8:30 a.m. on Sunday mornings, the van will leave the church to go out to the surrounding Fort Pierce area to pick up children and bring them to church. When they get to church, they enjoy our Sunday School and Junior Church programs where they interact with each other by playing games, winning prizes, and gathering around the Word of God for a Bible lesson. Once the morning church service concludes, the van will return the children back to their respective homes. We have seen continued growth through this ministry, and God is blessing the efforts of those who go out on Saturdays to reach these children for the Lord.

Music Ministry
Here at Riverview Baptist Church, we believe that one of the best ways to worship the Lord is through music. We hold a traditional view of music, where our congregation sings the familiar hymns of the faith from the hymnals provided. You will find that our choir will encourage your heart, as they sing songs that honor and glorify the Lord. Each Sunday service, the music aspect of the service is concluded with special music from either a soloist of our church or a singing group from within our church. We truly believe that you will find the music program at our church to be uplifting and encouraging as we praise the Lord together.

Sunday School Ministry
The Sunday School ministry of our church is from 9:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. and reaches all age categories:
Lil’ Sprouts Class → Our Sunday School program begins with the age group of 18 months through 4 year olds. We use the Lil’ Sprouts curriculum from Regular Baptist Press. Our goal is to teach children from a young age the fundamental truths of the Word of God. The program starts from Creation and continues on through the truths of Scripture. Our dedicated, experienced teachers do a tremendous job with this age group, and they welcome all others who would like to be a part of their class.
It’s Grow Time Class → It’s Grow Time is the next class in our Sunday School program. This class covers the ages of 5 year olds through 11 year olds, or Kindergarten through 6th grade. Once they complete their journey through Lil’ Sprouts, it becomes time for them to grow deeper in their journey and walk with the Lord. The curriculum we use for this age group is also from Regular Baptist Press, and it is designed to reinforce the basic things they learned in Lil’ Sprouts while taking their understanding of the Bible to the next level. This program uses music, Bible lessons, and flashcards to challenge the young minds within this class. At the end of the lesson, there’s an animated character sketch that reinforces the lesson that was taught and allows a secondary visual learning tool to assist the child in learning.
Teen Sunday School Class → Our Teen Sunday School Class ranges from ages 12 through 18 or grades 7th through 12th. Everytime we meet for Sunday School, we have a designated breakfast time, sometimes we will have a designed Bible game to sharpen and awaken the minds of our teens, and we finish with a challenging lesson from the Bible. We believe that the best curriculum for this age bracket is the Word of God, and we use this time to preach and teach what the Word of God says. Each week, teens are fed physically and spiritually, and they leave better equipped to face the week that lies ahead of them.
Family Foundations Class → Our Family Foundations Class meets in the fellowship hall and ranges from ages 19 through 50 and is designed to challenge the minds and strengthen the homes of the individuals who attend each week. This class continues to grow every week, and the class often has activities outside of the allotted Sunday School hour that not only helps fortify and encourage the relationships of each couple represented, but it also strengthens the friendships of everyone in the class as a whole.
Prime-Timers Class → Our Prime-Timers Class meets in the auditorium and ranges from ages 51 and older. Each week, they take prayer requests, give announcements, and the teacher gives an encouraging Bible lesson. They also have activities each month, but more can be read about that in the “Prime-Timers Ministry” section.

Visitation Ministry
Luke 14:23 says, “And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.” We believe in the responsibility of the believer to go out into their local community, knock on doors, and invite people to come to church. On the second and fourth Saturday of every month in the fall, winter, and spring months, we gather as a church to fulfill this responsibility. It is a great time of fellowship with one another as we team up with the goal in mind to reach our community with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We have seen several people come to a saving knowledge of Christ through this outreach.

Fellowship Ministry
Here at Riverview Baptist Church, we believe fellowshipping with one another is important to sustaining our walk with the Lord and our relationship with each other. Each month we gather together to fellowship with each other and celebrate birthdays and wedding anniversaries.
When there is a fifth Sunday of a month, we will meet together between services to fellowship together with a church luncheon. When the luncheon on the church grounds is finished, we gather together back in the church auditorium for an afternoon service that replaces the evening service on that Sunday.
Some of our most memorable fellowships come around Thanksgiving and Christmas. We have a Pie-n-Praise service around Thanksgiving where we meet in the fellowship hall and eat pie. We play games as a church family, and we finish off the night with testimonies of the goodness of God throughout the year. Around Christmas time, we have our church-wide Christmas fellowship. Last year, we rented out Safari Golf, ate pizza, played games and mini-golf. It was a wonderful time of fellowship together. If you love a church that loves being around each other, you will love our church family, and we look forward to you joining our family and experiencing the joys of fellowship around God’s people.

Teen Ministry
The goal of the youth ministry at Riverview Baptist Church involves three aspects: we want to see teens saved, we want to see teens surrender, and we want to see teens serve the Lord. We want to see teens come to a saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ, we want to see them surrender their life to whatever God has for them to do, and we want to see them serve their Savior, whether here at our local church or wherever God places them to serve with their lives.
Our youth ministry verse comes from Luke 2:52 which says, “And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man.” In this verse, Jesus was twelve years of age (2:42) and grew in four areas: mentally (wisdom), physically (stature), spiritually (in favor with God), and socially (and man). We use this verse as a guideline for how we want to minister to teens. We want to see them grow in the same four areas that Christ did, so we plan services, activities, summer camp trips, and so much more to accomplish the goals that we have for our youth ministry.
“Rooted” is our Wednesday night program that we have setup to minister and grow with our teens. Colossians 2:6-7 says, “As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.” If a tree has no roots, it has no foundation upon which to stand. When the storms come and the winds blow, the tree will fall because it is not properly rooted. Our Wednesday night program’s purpose is to build a foundation and teach our children what to believe from the Word of God. So that when they are challenged by the world, they are rooted in the Scriptures, and not just what someone told them to believe.

Prime-Timers Ministry
Our Prime-Timers Ministry is an extension of the Prime-Timers Sunday School class. On the third Thursday of every month, the Prime-Timers (age 51 and up) meet and have an encouraging fellowship with one another. They either meet here at our church, or they will meet at a restaurant to fellowship together. They play games, sing songs, get challenged by the Scriptures, and enjoy a meal together. It is a ministry that is geared towards uplifting the older generation and their walk with the Lord and each other.

Our Junior Church Ministry is an extension of our “It’s Grow Time” Sunday School class. Kids from ages 4 years old to 11 years old are challenged from the Bible in Sunday School class, and the Junior Church ministry reinforces the Sunday School hour by applying the lesson learned. Our teachers have planned strategic songs to sing and games to play to go along with the lesson being taught.

Nursery Ministry
Here at Riverview, God has given us a beautiful nursery. You will find our nursery to be a warm, inviting place where your young child would want to be. Our nursery is secure, allowing you to have peace of mind when you are in the service. We have a pager system that you will receive when you drop your child off. If there is a situation that needs the parent’s attention, the nursery worker will page you to come and take care of your child. Our nursery is a place where you can leave your child and know that they are loved while you worship the Lord in the main auditorium.

Security Team Ministry
The Security Team Ministry is a group of individuals selected by our pastor and given the responsibility to watch the church facilities while services are in session. These individuals watch over the parking lot for suspicious activity, and they walk the facility to make sure everything is safe. We strive to be vigilant in protecting those who attend our services.
